Explorer Scouts is Scouting for young people aged 14 to 16 years old. The Explorer Scout section is called a troop. Unlike the other sections Explorer Scouts are the responsibility of the District. This increases the opportunity for older scouts to be involved in exciting activities that may not be available to them locally. As the Monmouthshire district is quite large the Explorers are run locally but with regular district meetings. We have one troop meeting in our group which is currently at the same time as the Scout Troop.
