Scouts is a world wide organisation which has grown with one aim in mind. To help young people to develop to their full potential. In other words:
The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
The structure, policies and rules for Scouting are decided by the Scouting Organisation with each group working towards these aims.
In the Monmouthshire scouting district there are Scout Groups in Abergavenny, Bulwark/Chepstow, Caldicot, Gilwern, Goytre, Magor, Raglan, Sedbury/Tidenham, Shirenewton, Usk, Wye, Wyesham. Web pages for some of these districts are included in our links page.
